Description:

I am an experienced employment attorney and Human Resources professional with over 13 years of practice. I have a JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law and am bar certified in the state of CA. I am also a recognized mediator, trained in CA. I have experience advising individuals and companies under federal and state law as well as regulations from and investigations through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and DFEH. I train employees and managers on employment and human resource best practices, including CA AB 1825 sexual harassment training. I have extensive experience offering advice and suggestions to employees on all types of workplace issues including counseling and support through periods of transition (performance improvement situations, resignations, terminations, lay-offs and RIF's.)

I will offer a brief consultancy suggestion on how to approach any workplace issue for $25.00. Please bear in mind that while I may address legal topics I am not providing legal advice or acting in any attorney/client capacity.

Appropriate topics include things like:

  • What can I do about an unfair performance review?

  • I have a direct report who undermines my authority in team meetings, what can I do?

  • My cubicle-mate is spreading rumors about me, can I complain?

  • I am being laid-off, do I have any options?

  • How can I “wow” at a job interview?

  • How can I write a career growth/employee development plan?

Contact me at joelle@hrchaeology.com for more information on my education, skills and experience. Or simply click the PayPal Buy Now button adjacent to this text to send me your specific workplace question.

Arrangements can be made for on-going support, counseling or coaching. And I am always ready to offer a referral to an experienced litigation attorney upon request.
